# This driver has been modified to work with Windows XP 64bit (
# SP2 + Patches until october 2009) - superior release.

# This driver uses the DW1Venya.inf from the Windows Vista x64 drivers 
# from Conexant, optimized to work with Fujitsu Siemens Notebooks
# (Amilo Series).
#
# All other files are from the Hewlett Packard Conexant High Definition
# Audio Venice 5045 drivers (Version 3.34.0.0) for Windows XP x64.
#
#
# The DW1Venya.inf has been modified by me to fit to the files from the
# Venice 5045 files. No other modifications were made.
#

### Installation
#
# 1. Be sure to have a working backup of your system.
# 2. Check the Windows Device Manager => System Devices if the
#    Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio is installed. If
#    not, search Google for solutions. It won´t work without it.
# 3. Go to the Sound, Video and game controllers tab in the Windows Device
#    Manager and select your Audio Device (may be marked with a yellow
#    exclamation mark, but must not).
# 4. Right click the device and select Update Driver. If asked to search on
#    the Internet select No and choose the advanced method in the next dialogue
#    (install from a list or specific location).
# 5. Click don´t search. I will choose the driver to install.
# 6. Click Have Disk and choose the DW1Venya.inf from the location on your
#    harddisk. Be sure to pick this INF file, cause there´s a second one
#    included in the package (the original one).
# 7. Several things may happen now. First, you´re being warned that the driver
#    is not digitally signed. Ignore this. Second you might being warned that
#    the driver you´re about to install is not compatible with your hardware.
#    Ignore this too.
# 8. The driver now installs and copies all the files to the Windows driver
#    directory. After all this is done, the installation is finished.
# 9. Check if the sound is working, if not, check if your audio device appears
#    in the Control Panel => Sounds and Audio Devices. If it doesn´t appear
#    there then this is the wrong package for you. Sorry.
